Scott P. Mebane is a Shareholder at Mase Tinelli practicing in the areas of admiralty, civil litigation, international arbitration, product liability and personal injury. In addition, Mr. Mebane has experience in the areas of construction defect litigation, toxic tort defense, and product liability defense involving vehicles and industrial equipment.

Mr. Mebane joined Mase Tinelli in 2006 after practicing in North Carolina and Miami, Florida. He grew up in Asheville, North Carolina, where he earned his B.A. from the University of North Carolina, Asheville in 1985. He received his J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law in 1990 where he was a member of the Moot Court. During this time, he was a three year recipient of the full academic Fletcher Scholarship.

Mr. Mebane served as law clerk to the Honorable Senior United States District Judge, Hiram H. Ward, for the Middle District of North Carolina. While in this position he drafted opinions for the Middle District and for the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. Subsequently, Mr. Mebane served as an Assistant United States Attorney before entering civil practice in 1997.
